How to Obtain a Vehicle’s Copy of Records in Kenya

To get a CoR, follow these steps:

  1. Visit Our Vehicle Search Page: Navigate to our website, hover over the “Services” menu, select “Vehicle Search,” and click to proceed.
  2. Enter Vehicle Information: On the Vehicle Search page, provide the necessary details about the vehicle.
  3. Proceed to Payment: After submitting the vehicle information, you will be redirected to our payment page. The fee is KSh 750, which can be paid via M-Pesa or card.

What Information Will You Find in a CoR?

When you receive the CoR, it will include the following details:

  1. Registration Number: The unique plate Number of the vehicle.
  2. Date of Registration: When the vehicle was first registered in Kenya.
  3. Chassis/Frame Number: The manufacturer’s unique identification for the vehicle’s chassis.
  4. Customs Entry Number: Issued by KRA for import duties.
  5. Type of Vehicle: Categories like motor vehicle, motorcycle, or trailer.
  6. Body Type: The style of the vehicle’s body (e.g., Van, Lorry).
  7. Date of Manufacture: The year the vehicle was made.
  8. Body Color: The vehicle’s color as recorded.

Receiving Your Results

Once the search is complete:

  • Get the CoR via email or WhatsApp: A printable CoR will be sent to your email or whatsapp.
