How to Accept a Vehicle Transfer on The eCitizen Portal

Transferring a motorcycle or motor vehicle in the motor business is a common practice, and so is being told to accept a transferred vehicle and you might usually visit a cyber cafe to ensure it’s done correctly. However, did you know you can do it yourself without any errors?

Here’s how to accept a vehicle transfer on the eCitizen portal:

  1. Log in to eCitizen: If youโ€™ve forgotten your password, you can reset it.
  2. Navigate to NTSA: Once logged in, scroll through the dashboard menu and open the NTSA (New) section. Log in using the eCitizen SSO.
  3. Check for Notifications: At the top of the NTSA dashboard, you should see a notification asking if you want to accept the vehicle. If you donโ€™t see it, it could be due to one of two reasons:
    • The transfer hasn’t been submitted by the seller.
    • Thereโ€™s an issue with the NTSA portal. In this case, be patient and keep trying.
  4. Accept or Reject the Transfer: If you see the notification, youโ€™ll have the option to accept or reject the transfer. If rejected, the application goes back to edit mode on the seller’s side.
    • If accepted, fill in the necessary information about the collection and submit it. The transfer will then go through an approval stage. Once approved, your vehicle will appear on your NTSA dashboard.
  5. Post-Approval: Once the logbook is ready, you can book various NTSA services.

Common Reasons for Unsuccessful Vehicle Transfers:

  1. Unclear or incorrect logbook uploaded.
  2. Problems with the NTSA server during the upload or saving of your logbook.

By following these steps, you can easily accept a vehicle transfer on eCitizen without any hassle.
