Annual inspections, required by the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA), are essential for safeguarding pedestrians, passengers, and drivers from accidents caused by defective vehicles.
For vehicle owners, drivers, and law enforcement agencies, verifying a vehicle’s inspection status is vital to ensure it is roadworthy. These annual inspections, enforced by the NTSA, are designed to prevent accidents resulting from vehicle malfunctions.
To get a vehicle inspected, owners must schedule an appointment through the NTSA’s online portal. They have 1 to 14 days to bring their vehicle to a designated inspection center. Once the inspection is complete, it is the driver’s duty to ensure the vehicle is not operated without a valid inspection certificate.
