A bootable USB is an excellent way to install or upgrade Windows, especially for PCs or laptops without an optical drive. What You’ll Need

Before you start, ensure you have the following:

A USB flash drive (minimum of 8GB storage capacity).
Windows ISO file: You can download it from the Microsoft website.
A Windows PC: To create the bootable USB.
Rufus or the Windows Media Creation Tool: Tools to create a bootable USB.

Step 1: Download the Windows ISO File

Visit the Microsoft official website to download the Windows ISO file.
Select the correct version of Windows you want to install, whether it’s Windows 10, 11, or an earlier version.
Download the ISO file and save it on your computer.

Step 2: Create a Bootable USB

To install Windows using a USB drive, you must make the USB bootable. Here’s how to do it:

Using Windows Media Creation Tool:

Download and install the Windows Media Creation Tool.
Open the tool and select Create installation media for another PC.
Choose the language, edition, and architecture (64-bit or 32-bit).
Select USB flash drive as the media to use.

Install essential software such as browsers, antivirus, and any other applications you need.
Backup your system if you want to save the current configuration as a restore point.
